Harness Promo Search: Dart CLI that scrapes, deduplicates, validates, and summarizes Indonesian F&B and lifestyle promos using Genkit + Gemini with SerpApi, then delivers structured results with social buzz signals to Telegram via weekly cron and on-demand bot.
Problem to solve
Finding food and beverage promos in Indonesia is difficult because the information is scattered across many different sources — websites, social media, and word of mouth — with no single place that summarizes it all. On top of that, a lot of what you find is already expired or links to pages that no longer exist, and the same promos keep resurfacing week after week. So instead of getting fresh, actionable deals, people end up with noise: outdated offers, dead links, and repeated promotions they have already seen.
What is being built
This project solves that by building a weekly promo-hunting assistant that automatically searches for the latest food, drink, snack, and lifestyle deals across Indonesia. Every result is carefully curated before it reaches the user: promos that have already expired are removed, promos with unreachable links are dropped entirely, and offers that were already sent in previous weeks are filtered out so only genuinely new deals remain. The assistant also highlights promos from brands that are currently being talked about on social media, helping separate the deals worth noticing from the rest. All of this is compiled into a clean, structured weekly digest delivered through Telegram, and there is also an on-demand Telegram bot where anyone can simply ask for promos in their city, such as Bandung or Surabaya, optionally narrowed to a specific category.
Who it is for
The service is made for Indonesian consumers who love hunting for food, drink, snack, and lifestyle deals — whether in the main Jabodetabek area or in any other city through the bot — and everything they receive is written in Bahasa Indonesia so it is immediately useful and easy to read. It is also built to be operated by a single person, with the results flowing automatically into a personal or community Telegram chat, making it a practical, low-friction way for a small group or community to stay updated on the best deals every week.
